Job Description:
Multimedia (MM) Software Engineer for Broadcast Systems Development (BSD-SD) is responsible for developing features specific to broadcast streaming and transcode systems design on proprietary and industry standard multimedia frameworks such as Linux GStreamer. BSD-SD is responsible for integrating (using OpenMax) codecs and components (like Parsers, Post Processors, MM protocols like RTP/RTSP, TS, etc) into the multimedia frameworks and validating for specific use cases. The development platforms include boards on TI DM6467/DM8168/ARM-Cortex A8/A9 and other multi-core processors.
Additionally, MSE-SD is responsible for,
Analyzing SDK and BSPs for suitability for target Broadcast and Transcode (BT) applications
Work with codec/algorithm development teams from integration perspective
Ensure all of functionality, performance, and reliability of BT applications on target platforms.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelors/Masters degree in Electrical/Electronics and Communications Engg, Computer Science and Engg.
Experience:
Candidates must have experience in embedded multimedia applications and systems development ranging from 2 to 7 years. Of which, significant portion should be in MM frameworks such as Linux-GStreamer/proprietary/Others.
Must have independently integrated and tested codecs/components into these frameworks.
Must have exposure and development experience on DSP based platforms like TI Davinci / DM6467/DM8168/ARM-Cortex A8/A9

Knowledge and working experience with OpenMax IL a must.
